Pals4Pets was the brainchild of journalist and author Monica Hart,who back in the 80s saw a gap in the market when she needed to travel for work and wanted a home for her elderly Yorkshire terrier.  Having written the Good Kennel and Cattery Guide, with a foreword by Katie Boyle, published by Collins in 1982,  Monica started Pals4Pets, with her husband, Paul Loosley in 1998.  This followed a career both of them had enjoyed at the BBC. Through contact with members of the Royal Family and moving in  Parliamentary and celebrity circles, Monica appreciated that professional people with busy lives want the best for their animals.  Today, Pals4Pets is applauded by authors, artists and actors, as well as financiers and the corporate sector. Pals4Pets was launched by actress Jenny Seagrove in 1998, and her friendship and support is has been greatly appreciated.
